Linda S. Carter-Brooks, 60, of Portage, passed away peacefully at 4:28 a.m., Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso.

She was born February 22, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Leonard and Peggy (Hijhtshoe) Zajicek.

Linda worked as a R.N. for many years until her health forced her to stop working. Her caring ways and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be no services and cremation will take place. Midwest Crematory, 678 E. Hupp Road, La Porte (219)393-3900 is caring for the arrangements.
